Let me ask you one question – “Did you catch the flight?” Now, here any answer can only have 2 options – either a Yes or a No! You might think why am I asking such a simple question? So, do you come across a situation where you ask a question and without getting an answer which is of few words, you get a long story! Even funnier – People say one thing & expect another thing!
Decisions Decide Destiny!
Basically, when there is lack of clarity, people tend to make situation blur. Everything we do start with some plan, decision & then action. While we all do this right from how much sugar we need in our tea to selecting an institute to finding out a suitable partner to get married! Yes, it’s not that only Prime Minister or CEO of the company makes decisions, we all decide every time, every minute, every second! Clarity needs to come from ourthinking & clarity should lead to a better picture of our life!
Our life is full of decisions that we take & every decision makes us or can possibly break us. Here is an interesting thing – decision is based on clarity of thought.
Simplicity of Squares & Better Life
To have this clarity, I’m taking you back to the question I asked and want to make you all think like – Life is a Chess board & we constantly progress from one square to other with an idea to win the game! Meaning, to make progress in life! Can you have a grey square to put your chess piece? Can any piece occupy partial white & partial black square? Let me simplify – 30% white
& 70% black? Absolutely not possible. We need to put piece in particular square only!
Decisions on the Board & Reflection off the Board!
Be it any chess game, online or over the board, be it blitz, Rapid, Classical, Fischer Random or even Bullet, you keep making decisions! Some thoughtful & slow, some fast, some extremely fast! Remember, every move is a decision, & most importantly a 100% clear decision! Wow! Not a common thing we observe across the world. Now every move which is a clear decision can be brilliant, decent, wrong, average or horrible! You have to live with it & try to make next decision.

Once Chess is part of your life, wherever you are, you tend to give clarity, come up with decision, develop habit of being very structured in handling situations around you. Your moves on the board also reflect in your life. As life is matter of choices, with Chess, your choices start becoming better thus life starts becoming better too!
One way of looking at life is our planet is a Chess board and every decision we take is a move of Chess board! So, do decide wisely where you wish to land, when you move, be it on the board or off the board!
